ScapeOne keeps commercial and operational steps as related records, rather than treating one screen as the whole workflow.
Typical workflow
- Create or receive a lead when new work starts as an enquiry.
- Review the lead, record contact and follow-up work, then create or link the customer and property when appropriate.
- Create and send a quote when the work needs a proposal and customer decision.
- After the relevant decision, create or continue with a booking, schedule the work and assign people.
- Create an invoice from the suitable available path, issue and send it, then record payment when received.
Important
Not every job requires every step. Existing customers can have direct bookings or invoices when those are appropriate. A quote being accepted does not by itself create a completed booking or paid invoice.
Choosing the next record
Use a lead when you still need to qualify an enquiry. Create or select a customer and property before work is quoted, booked or billed. Once a quote is accepted, the available booking or invoice action carries the commercial context forward, but you must still check the new record before saving it.
Keep the hand-off clear
Record the result of each stage on its own record: follow-up on the lead, the customer decision on the quote, the schedule and completion on the booking, and money received on the invoice. This gives the next person a reliable place to continue.
