Timesheet approval lets an authorised reviewer compare submitted time with the relevant employee and work context.

Steps

  1. Open Timesheets and use the date or employee filters to find the submitted entry.
  2. Review the employee, date, recorded time and related booking context.
  3. Approve when the entry is correct, reject when it needs correction, or use an available adjustment action when permitted.
  4. Record a clear reason when the workflow asks for one.

Important

Approved and rejected are different workflow states. Review the entry before changing it so the employee receives useful direction when a correction is needed.

Use the correct decision

Approve a complete and accurate submitted entry. Reject it when the employee needs to correct it. Use an adjustment only when your role permits it and the reason is clear enough for the employee and payroll process.

What the statuses mean

Timesheets move through Draft, Submitted, Approved and Rejected states. Do not approve an entry merely because it matches a planned roster; compare it with the actual work context.
