Sending a quote is the customer-facing delivery step. Confirm the proposal before using the send action.
Steps
- Open the quote and check its customer, property, contact, items, pricing, terms and dates.
- Use Send when the quote is ready for the selected customer contact.
- Review the quote status and any response or question recorded through the available workflow.
- Update the quote only where the status and available actions permit it.
- Continue to booking or invoicing only after the appropriate customer decision.
Troubleshooting
If sending is unavailable, check the quote state, recipient details and the visible validation messages before creating another quote.
Before you send
Confirm the selected contact can receive the quote, and that its scope, item totals, tax, terms, validity and deposit information are ready for the customer. Keep internal notes out of the customer-facing proposal.
After a response
Use the quote response controls and the recorded status rather than assuming an email reply completed the workflow. If the customer requests a material change, review the permitted edit path and send the revised proposal only when it is ready.
