Follow-up information makes a lead actionable for the person responsible for it.
Steps
- Open Leads and select the enquiry.
- Assign the lead when a specific team member owns the next action.
- Record a contact attempt or mark the lead contacted after the action has occurred.
- Set the next follow-up when more work is needed, or use a displayed snooze option for a suitable preset.
- Add a note containing the result and the information needed for the next contact.
Important
Do not mark a lead won, lost or spam merely to hide it from immediate follow-up. Use the status that describes the actual outcome.
Make the next action useful
A helpful follow-up states who will contact the lead, when, and what they need to confirm. Record the outcome of each phone call, email or message so another team member does not repeat the same contact attempt.
When a lead is not progressing
Use a snooze only for a genuine later follow-up. If the customer declines or the request is not suitable, set the outcome status and leave a concise note explaining the decision.
