Availability describes when an employee or resource may be considered for work. It is used with the booking schedule and assignment requirements.

Availability types

  • Use the standard week for the normal working pattern.
  • Use recurring availability when a repeating pattern differs from the standard week.
  • Use an exception for a one-off change to the normal pattern.

Common question

Availability does not guarantee a person is assigned to a job. Review the crew, booking timing and any visible scheduling restrictions before confirming work.

Where to manage availability

Go to Employees > Availability when that option is available. Enter a normal pattern before adding an exception, then make one-off leave or unavailable changes against the correct employee and date.

What it does not change

Availability informs planning. It does not reschedule an existing booking, notify a customer or reassign a crew automatically; review those records after a material availability change.
