Invoice type and schedule options support different billing stages. Review the linked quote or booking before selecting a deposit, final, progress or recurring path.

What to check

  • Confirm the customer, linked quote or booking and amount to bill.
  • Review whether a deposit is required and whether the related booking can proceed under the available workflow.
  • For recurring invoices, review the schedule before saving because future billing runs depend on it.
  • Issue, send and record payment through the relevant separate steps.

Important

Do not use a deposit or recurring invoice type to correct an unrelated invoice. Review the original billing record first.

Deposit stages

Use the available deposit, progress or final invoice path only for the agreed billing stage. Check the linked quote or booking, amount and balance before issuing the invoice, then record payment on the invoice that actually received it.

Recurring schedules

Review the schedule, customer, items and timing before enabling it. Pause, resume, edit or generate a run through the recurring invoice controls when available; a recurring schedule does not make an unpaid invoice paid.
