Quote items describe the work and pricing the customer will review. Build them while the quote is a draft so the scope can be checked before delivery.

Steps

  1. Open the draft quote.
  2. Use the available action to add an item from a service, add labour or enter a manual item.
  3. Review the description, quantity, price and tax treatment for each item.
  4. Update or remove an item before sending when the scope changes.
  5. Check the quote totals, terms and recipient before saving.

Important

A clear item description helps prevent a customer decision based on an incomplete scope. Review the whole quote after editing an item because totals can change.

Check the commercial detail

Each item should make clear what is included, the quantity, unit price and tax treatment. Review the quote total after every change and check that the terms, validity and deposit requirement shown on the quote match the agreed proposal.

When editing is restricted

Some actions are available only while the quote is in an editable state. If an item control is not available, check the quote status and use the permitted response or revision path instead of changing the commercial record outside ScapeOne.
