Customer portal

Handle customer portal requests

Review requests customers send from the portal, then approve, decline or turn them into a quote or job.

Customers can use the portal to ask for extra service or to update the instructions for a job. Requests never create work on their own: someone on your team reviews each one first.

Where requests appear

Open the customer record and choose Portal Requests. Each request shows its type, the property, any preferred date and the message from the customer.

Decide what to do

  • Approve to accept the request and record your notes.
  • Decline when you cannot do the work, with a note explaining why.
  • Convert to quote when the work needs pricing and approval first.
  • Convert to job when the work is agreed and ready to plan.

Request statuses

A request starts as Pending, then moves to Approved, Declined, Converted to quote or Converted to job.

Good practice

Reply to the customer when you decline or change a request, and check the new quote or job before you send or schedule it.
